Kenneth Ma finally receives recognition and another level in his career
TVB series "A Fistful of Stances" had become a hit series as viewers followed the series with excitement. This influence was similar to "Heart of Greed". Since last year's "E.U" and "Rosy Business" there hasn't been a series that has given the same influence for a long time. Each episode of "A Fistful of Stances" gives off a exciting cliff hanger and dramatic touch. Seeing the evil characters over powering would make one feel angry, yet seeing them being caught gives off a feeling of release. It also reminds people that the "Good will be rewarded with good and evil with evil".
The most appealing character in the series isn't Tavia Yeung's "Au Yeung Wai Lan", neither is it Kevin Cheng's "Koo Yue Cheung". But Kenneth Ma who play's "Koo Yue Tong". Kenneth who has been in the industry for 10 years has finally received recognition for his acting and reached another level in his career.
Kenneth is one the Siu Sang's in TVB who hasn't encountered a role which has left a deep impression on the audience. Although you could say his acting is very good, there is still something missing to become a first male lead. Whether it's luck or something else is still not clear. But since the airing of "A Fistful of Stances" you can tell Kenneth's Luck has finally arrived. Every time he is on screen he grabs the audience's attention. He naturally draws the viewer to get hooked into his character's emotions. No matter if he's happy or sad the viewer would get touched by it.
Kevin Cheng: Past TV King loses spark
As for first male lead Kevin Cheng, he seems to have clearly lost the spark from "Second male lead" Kenneth. Perhaps it's because Kenneth totally released himself to play the role therefore could touch the hearts of viewers. Kevin's role as "Koo Yue Cheung" still maintained a similar style to his previous roles. It didn't seem be very natural. The way he carried his speech is still not done freely. Kevin's performance wasn't appealing this time.
Dominic Lam: Deserves "Best Villain" award
Dominic Lam who plays Villain "Wing Dak" certainly gave his best performance and acted his role very well. If he was out in the street perhaps people would throw eggs at him to show hatred of his character. If TVB was to award "Best Villain", Dominic Lam certainly deserves it.
